Robyn is a PhD student within the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Queensland. Her research interests mainly include mine site rehabilitation, focusing on the selection of post-mining end land uses and mine closure goals and ecosystem services. She has a strong interest in promoting and using Indigenous traditional knowledge in planning and decision making. Her research is based in western Cape York and aims to understand the impacts of mining on ecosystem services valued by the local Indigenous community and identify whether rehabilitation can restore or provide new ecosystem services.
