Sreekar Rachakonda

Sreekar is a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with Laura Sonter's lab. He obtained his doctoral degree in 2018 from the University of Adelaide and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the Czech Academy of Sciences and the National University of Singapore. His research interests span various subjects such as spatial conservation planning, land-use management, evaluating the impact of conservation policies, studying community assembly rules, and exploring extinction synergies. Currently, his research primarily revolves around mapping environmental risks associated with the mining sector. Sreekar's passion for birdwatching extends beyond his professional pursuits, and he finds great enjoyment in this aspect of his work both personally and recreationally.
