Ecosystems provide a variety of benefits to people, such as food production, flood regulation and opportunities for nature-based recreation. Collectively these benefits are referred to as ‘ecosystem services’. We’re interested in understanding how ecosystem services contribute to the wellbeing of different groups of people, and the extent to which land use changes (e.g. deforestation for cattle grazing) and conservation interventions (such as protected areas) negatively or positively affect human beneficiaries.
